Review Policy

Thank you for considering Jessabella Reads to review your novels!
  • I am currently accepting physical ARCs, Galleys, and finished copies for review. I am not accepting e-books.
  • I review Young Adult Fiction ONLY. I will not accept a request to review any other genre at this time.
  • I am not accepting self-published titles. Nothing against these authors, as I have read and loved many self-published books, it is due to a tight review schedule on my part.
  • Any review I write will always be my honest opinion. That being said, I do NOT "bash" books. I appreciate how much time and love an author puts into their work. All opinions are my own and I am never compensated in any way for my reviews. I firmly believe in blogging with integrity!
  • Included in every review post will be: book cover, title, author, publisher, date of publication, link to add the book on Goodreads, purchase or pre-order links(Amazon and/or Barnes and Noble), and my honest opinion of the book, and a rating from 1 to 5 stars.
  • I post all reviews on this blog, Goodreads, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble. I also cross-promote my review posts using Twitter, Google+, and Jessabella Reads Facebook Fan page.
  • If I accept your request for a review, I will try to read/review in a timely manner. I cannot guarantee a review for every request I accept.
  • ARCs/Galleys: I will do my best to post my review within a week of the release date (whether before or after). If you have a specific preference on this, please let me know in your request.

I also love to host author interviews, guest posts, cover reveals, or anything else to help promote your book.

  1. Hi there!

My name is David Bordonaro and I am reaching out to you on behalf of Mark Unger. Mark is the author of the novel "First Survivor," which tells the story of his family's heart wrenching battle to save their son from a deadly childhood cancer diagnosis. His son, Louis, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma and had a brain tumor relapse. He was given “zero chance of survival”. Louis was brave and stoic throughout the hardships of his treatment. Despite the abundance of adversity the Unger family faced, Louis was the first to survive these circumstances. Today, he is living a happy and healthy life. The point of the novel is to spread awareness, encourage hope and patient advocacy, and convey the positive impact dedicated parents can have on such an arduous journey.

    How can you help?

We would love to send you a free copy of "First Survivor" to see what you think and hopefully garner a positive review on your blog or social media pages. By helping us spread the news around the launch of the book we hope to inspire and encourage more people to never give up the fight despite the odds being stacked against you. In addition, all of the proceeds will go to Mark's charity, the Carrot Seed Foundation!

If you are interested in helping the inspirational story of "First Survivor" better reach our audience, you can directly respond to this for more information!

    Sincerely,

    David Bordonaro
