The "Welcome To My Blog" Giveaway!
This giveaway is my way of saying welcome to my blog! I was going to wait until I reached 50 followers before I hosted my first giveaway, but then I realized that I might as well just go ahead and do it now. For those of you who don't know me, I am 33 weeks(a lil over 8 mnths) pregnant with my first child. She is due Oct. 20th, so I wanted to be sure the giveaway wouldn't be going on/ending around that time. That is why I decided to do it now!! SOoOo welcome to my blog everyone!!! : )~ (Be sure to read the rules below before entering the giveaway!)
Oh yes, the prize...
One winner will receive one book of their choice from the list below AND one book of my choice from the list below. I enjoy surprises, so I wanted to include some element of surprise in this giveaway. That means that the winner will receive two books total from this list. Since you won't know which book I will be choosing, you may want to hold off buying something off this list until the giveaway is over (just a thought, totally up to you of course lol). FYI: The surprise book that I choose will definitely NOT be one of the sequels, as I do not know if you have read the first in the series yet!
Thanks you sooo much for checking out my blog! I hope you all are as excited about this giveaway as I am, and I hope you like my blog so far. I know I still have a ways to go, but I feel good about how it is coming along. Any feedback is always welcome and appreciated! Thanks Guys!!
Here are the book choices!!
Rules
1.) Must be 13 years or older to enter.
2.) Must live in the United States or Canada.(Unfortunately I cannot ship to any other countries at this time...so sorry to anyone this affects! I promise I will try my best to make my next giveaway international!
3.) One winner will receive two books. One book will be winner's choice from the list provided in this post. The other book will be my choice from the list in this post. If a book had not been released by the end of the giveaway, I will do a pre-order for that book for the winner.
4.) Cheating is wrong and unfair to everyone. I will be checking each entry to be sure you actually completed it. I reserve the right to disqualify from the giveaway anyone who I find is putting in entries but did not actually do the task.
5.) The winner must respond to my email within 48 hours of the end of the giveaway to confirm book choice and mailing address. Otherwise I reserve the right to choose another winner.

ReplyDeleteDairy Queen was simply amazing.
ReplyDeleteFreaking by Lana Krumwiede is one that I can't wait to read. Cover Love XD
So far you're doing great. Honestly. I'd like to see honest and fun reviews to read (:
ReplyDeleteSo far your blog is looking good, giveaways are a great way to catch reader's interest. :D I like to see honest reviews on a variety of books, so I'd say that's something you can do that would interest me.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to choose which book I've read this summer as the "best" book - but I can say I really loved Jenn Bennett's books, Kindling the Moon and Summoning the Night. The book I'm looking forward to reading is Ann Aguirre's Endgame, the last book in her Sirantha Jax series.
The only thing I can tell you, as a fellow blogger, is don't get too wrapped up in what others want you to read. You'll probably get a lot of requests for reviews, but make sure that you also review books that you absolutely love. Otherwise, it will only feel like work. And btw, congrats on the baby girl! I have a daughter who is about to be five. :) And I'm quite partial to the name Olivia, lol. Just saying....
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the baby. It must be really exciting for you. I think the best book I read this summer was Ill Wind by Rachel Caine. The book I am most excited to read this fall is Insurgent by Veronica Roth.
ReplyDeleteI love "The Help." Next on my list is Fifty Shades of Grey
ReplyDeleteI would love to see your post when you choose your babies name!
ReplyDeleteBest book I've read, hmmm I would say Insurgent and one I am anticipating, the third in Vampire in the City series by Donna Ansari. I loved the first two New Blood and Wild Blood.
ReplyDeleteBlog looks great! Try adding a blog button though :)
ReplyDeleteBest book I've read this summer? Um...Defiance by C.J. Redwine.
I really want to read Tiger's Destiny by Colleen Houck
I'm really excited about this! I've entered a lot of giveaways on Goodreads.com( That's how I found your blog), and I've yet to win anything. Here's hoping!
ReplyDeleteI would really like to see some popular book reviews and maybe some recommendations. Maybe a mini book club/debate?
ReplyDeleteSo far it's looking good :) My only comment would be maybe a bit more eye-catching of a layout.
ReplyDeleteThe best book I read this summer was On the Island by Tracey Garvis Graves, and I cannot wait to read Carnival of Souls.
Thanks for the giveaway.
Congrats! & your blog is so neat I like it ^_^
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your upcoming new arrival and the new blog! You're very brave starting up a blog now :-) Your blog looks good, but I wonder if you might consider making the top a bit more ... poppy? The pale blue is pretty, but not terribly exciting, you know? Of course, who am I to talk? I have no idea how to set up a blog, so just used a template :-) Good luck, and I hope your blog succeeds! I'll be signing up for email updates momentarily, but have also added myself as a GFC friend.
ReplyDeleteYou have a good start to your blog! One thing I can think of, off the top of my head, is maybe a layout that isn't so neutral. I'm pretty visual, so love to see decorative blogs. :-) They're memorable.
ReplyDeleteAs for books....I read 'Cinder' last month and REALLY enjoyed it. And I am DYING to dive into 'Divergent' by Veronica Roth and 'Trinity' by Ronie Kendig!
Congrats for your baby!! And for your new blog! Wish you many blessings!

ReplyDeleteSo far the best I read was Before I Wake by Rachel Vincent. I'm looking forward to reading Wake by Amanda Hocking.
ReplyDeleteCute blog! I really like the blue color scheme, it makes your blog look organized. The only thing I think you could add right now is an About Me section, so that all your followers can learn more about you :)
ReplyDeleteThe best book I have read all summer is probably one of the Molly Fyde series by Hugh Howey. I'm a big fan of his work, and have almost read all of his books. I looking forward to reading a large stack of books that I have collected over this summer that include: The Help, What Happened to My Sister, and the Orphan Master's Son, just to name a few. I'm a very avid reader, and have a giant list of things to read this fall semester. I enjoy reviewing books for authors, so I try to read their works quickly to get back to them :)
ReplyDeleteThe best book this summer for me is Bloodline by James Rollins and I'm looking forward to is The Kingmaker's Daughter by Philippa Gregory!

Well sadly this summer I didn't read much. However, I'm really excited to start school again so I can divulge in the library. I want to complete The Daughter of Smoke and Bones this year.
ReplyDeleteHey Everyone!! I just wanted to let you all know how thankful I am for each and everyone of your thoughtful comments! With the baby less than two months away now, I have been soo very busy with soo many things. This is why I haven't been responding to your individual comments as I would like to do. I appreciate everyone who has entered my first giveaway, and am getting tons of great ideas for baby names! : ) Thanks soo much everyone and keep the love coming!

ReplyDeleteI don't have any real constructive criticism because blogs are always works in progress - two years in, mine is still evolving and I'm always adjusting things! I have a couple of great resources for you though that I always referred to when I used the Blogger platform.

ReplyDeleteLove the Giveaway! I'm new to the blogging world too. So, I'm still building my following. Since I'm still learning myself and still working on my blog, I don't have any real constructive criticism. I do love your idea of doing a giveaway to start your blog. Wish I would have thought of that idea. I've been waiting to reach 100 followers before I do a giveaway.
